Angle Tool

The Angle Tool is commonly used on Plans to denote a roof pitch or security camera field of view.
Drawing Angles
- Click the Shape Tools
- (if required) Click Settings to adjust the Display Options
- Click Angle Tool
- Click to start Angle
- Move cursor to create the first arm, then click to create the Angle point
Length of first arm is displayed
Hold SHIFT to lock the arm/s to 15º increments - Move cursor to create the second arm, then click to complete Angle
- Repeat for additional Angles
- Click Done
To remove a point hold CTRL/Command ⌘ and press Z
Display Options
Customise the Angle display with Show Angle Label and / or Use Wedge Mode
This will be taken from the shortest arm of the Angle
- Click Settings and select the options
Edit the Line Colour, Line Opacity, Line Style, Fill Colour, Fill Opacity and Line Width, Text Size
Enable / Disable Use Wedge Mode - (optional) Click Label
Enable / Disable Show Angle Label and adjust Text Size - Complete the Angle

Editing Angles
The Settings modal remains open during Editing and requires a click to close once editing is complete.
- Press ESC
Zoom in on the Angle to select - Select the Angle on the Plan
- To move: Click, hold and drag
To move several items at once, use the Select Tool - To change Angle or resize arms: Click, hold and drag the blue square boxes
Hold SHIFT to lock the arm/s to 15º increments - To rotate: Click, hold and drag the blue dot rotation handle
Hold SHIFT to lock the rotation to 45º angles
- To move: Click, hold and drag
- Click Actions to:
- Click Settings to:
- Edit the Line Colour, Line Opacity, Line Style, Fill Colour, Fill Opacity and Line Width, Text Size
- Enable / Disable Use Wedge Mode
- Click Label to:
- Enable / Disable Show Angle Label
- Adjust Text Size
- Click Save
To Cancel the changes click Cancel
- Hold CTRL/Command ⌘ and press Z or
- Click Undo before leaving the Plan

Things to note when following the above steps:
- Tap instead of click
- Unless there is a keyboard attached to the device, there are no shortcut keys on an iPad or Tablet
- Tap Done instead of pressing ESC

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the Angle Tool create Areas?
Unfortunately not. The Angle Tool is an annotation tool only. It will not add quantities to Measurements or Stages.
