Sending quotes to Intuit QuickBooks

Before pushing a quote across please check your Groundplan project has all the stages, measurements and that one-off items have the correct pricing. You can easily check this in the Worksheet and Quantities tabs.
📝 Note
You can only send a quote to an existing customer in QuickBooks, if the customer is not in QuickBooks, please create the customer in QuickBooks before taking the steps below.
Push to QuickBooks
- Click the Intuit QuickBooks tab
- Search for your customer by typing 3 or more characters
- Add or update the Customer Address for this quote to be sent (Optional)
- Add or update the Email Address for this quote to be sent (Optional)
- Select an Expiry Date (Optional)
- Select a Tax code for the items in the quote
- Add a Memo to appear as a message on your quote (Optional)
- Click the Create button
- Click the blue "Quote" link to open it in QuickBooks.
📝 Notes
- If you select Not applicable for the Tax code, you will need to add Tax codes to all lines in the QuickBooks quotes
- Adding or updating an email address, will not add or update the email address for the customer card, only in the Quote created.
- Adding or updating the Customer Address will not add or update the address for the customer card, only in the Quote created.
Troubleshooting
⚠️ Duplicate Document Number Error
This error occurs when the quote number already exists in QuickBooks. To resolve this error:
- Change the Quote number entered;
- Click the Create button.
⚠️ Required parameter Line.Amount is missing in the request
This error appears when one-off item measurements/s labour lines are attempted to be sent to QuickBooks with no Cost or Unit price.
To correct this error:
- Click the Close button;
- Click onto the Quantities tab to locate the item/s with no cost or unit price ;
- Click on the item;
- Click onto the measurement;
- Add a cost, markup or Unit price;
- Click the Intuit QuickBooks tab;
- Select the Customer;
- Update/ add any other information required;
- Click the Create button.
