Importing take-off templates from Simpro

Import catalogue items and pre-builds from Simpro with a few easy clicks.

Updated this week

Groundplan allows the import of take-off templates that were built inside Simpro.

Importing Simpro take-off templates saves time as they are automatically linked to Simpro catalogue items and pre-builds.

📝Ensure to check specific steps below if multiple pre-builds or catalogue items are required for one measurement OR if formula needs to be adjusted.

When formula is required for catalogue items or pre-builds to calculate the correct quantity

When working with Groundplan, you may need to use formula to ensure the correct quantity of a pre-build or catalogue item is calculated for your quote.

For example, as all items come in as counts, formula may need to be adjusted if your pre-builds or catalogue items are a per length item (e.g. len/4).

  1. Click the measurement name

  2. Edit the measurement type (count, length or area)

  3. (Optional) Edit the description

    Renaming remains in Groundplan only

  4. (Optional) Adjust the measurement unit and/or pitch

Depending on what is allowed for in the pre-build or catalogue ttem

  5. (Optional) Adjust the style

  6. Click done

  7. Click the formula (count, len, area or volume)

  8. Adjust to the required formula

  9. Click save

The same prebuild or catalogue item is required under multiple measurements

  2. Click copy here on the new location

  3. Click to select the catalogue or prebuild again from any measurement
