Locate a specific word or code within a project by searching either a single plan or across all plans to find every instance. Groundplan allows searching for plan names and text inside plans.
⚠️Sometimes, text is placed as an image on the plan. Groundplan is unable to search this type of text.
Searching on the plans tab
Along with searching from the editor, plan names and text can also be searched from the plans tab.
Click into the search plans section
Select whether to search name or text
Type the search term
Search results are shown in blue
Click on a plan to view the results
Click the arrows to move to the next result
Results are highlighted orange or yellow for the preceding result
Click a plan to skip to results for that document
Click the arrow to hide the plan results
Click the cross to close
Searching in the plan editor
Search for words within plans in the editor. By default, the search begins on the current plan; there is an option to search all plans in the project.
Click into the search text in plans section
Type the search term
(Optional) Select to search all plans
Click the arrows to move to the next result
Results are highlighted orange or yellow for the preceding result
Click a plan to skip to results for that document
Click the arrow to hide the plan results
Click the cross to close
Filtering the text results
Results can be filtered according to completion and stage.
The current result is highlighted in orange, while results not yet viewed are highlighted in yellow. Search results for each plan are displayed at the bottom of the plan search window.

This means that the word you are searching for has been embedded in the document as an image. Groundplan cannot search text in images.

The text search is for locating specific text on plans. To search and quantify items, you would need to use our Count Assist feature.
